The Past Month...

- Got a job and moved (only an hour away).

- Discovered DSL companies are much better than Cable.

- Realized I'm in, like, the best guild evar.

No really... I'm being serious. Cleared to Vashj our first week in SSC, cleared to her in one night the next week, killed her our first night of attempts the next. Zul'jin two-shotted (Malacrass is HARD, btw). Tonight is our first night of Kael attempts, and I'd be surprised if I logged off still not attuned for Hyjal.

Woohoo!

Well this was an eventful night.

Had our first foray into 25-mans by killing Maulgar and one-shotting Gruul. Then we decided to try our luck at Void Reaver and got him down our second attempt. Netted myself some nice bracers from Tempest Keep trash too!

The State of Things - An Update!

I am in a new guild with my hunter consisting of people who play very well, most of whom have been in TK, SSC, and a few who have experience in later dungeons. We're running Kara and Zul'Aman until we get recruit several more people for 25-mans and to get people geared up. They're all great players - a few of them can be obnoxious, but not everyone's perfect. :P We can pretty much clear Kara in a night, and have the Bear, Eagle, and Lynx bosses on farm status. Working on perfecting the Dragonhawk boss' strategy, then we'll probably need to get more people to 9,000 hp to try Malacress. But seeing our other (amazing) hunter and I as the top two spots on DPS and damage charts kinda makes me feel good.

Real-life-wise, I successfully (but just barely... D is for Diploma) graduated from CWRU with a BA in computer science, and am on the hunt for a job. Probably have one lined up, but you never want to assume such things...

Hopefully we'll be in Gruul's on Monday, and then on our way to Black Temple! Things are looking good!

I'm a little confused by some phrasing from this BBC article about some (rather meaningless) awards for '07.

"The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar won best PC game, whilst World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade won best online game."

So.... let me get this straight. LotR Online won best PC game. BC won best online game. So the best PC game, which has "ONLINE" in its title, lost the best online game award to another PC game.

Do these game rewards things even take themselves seriously?
